Hi Lyle, Wikipedia seems to think that an "air amplifier" is a kind of pneumatic piloted valve/fluid amplifier or pneumatic equivalent of a transistor - it has two input streams (a high pressure, high volume one and a low pressure, low volume one) and the low pressure one can control the flow of the high pressure one. I don't see how that relates to what you describe. Do you have an actual brand name where I could get more info about the kind of air amplifiers you used?
