How about some more good news...... After getting my HP 16C functioning again, I decided to take another=20 look at my HP 15C, which I had set aside as broken due to a flashing=20 asterisk on the display which I could not get to go away, despite,=20 reboot sequences, etc.... ...... I took another look at the manual. It was the "low battery" indicator. Duh. I put new batteries in the thing; I now have my HP 16C back as well. In my defense, batteries last a really long time in these things.......I=20 hadn't seen that asterisk for quite a while..... :-) Mark Skeels Engineer Competition Electronics, Inc.
