Hi all - TI is definitely late to the USB game, and overall things look=20 pretty unpolished. main msp430+usb page: note that these parts are all high pin count (48/64/80) and none are=20 available as samples nor stock that I could find, despite at least a=20 third being "available" (vs. "preview"). eval kits are likely available (they seem to be), but I don't roll that=20 way. No chip is no sale. For "strategic reasons" I may use these in a new design if a TI rep can=20 get me 2 dozen (of any of the variations as long as it is tqfp) vs.=20 microchip, but at this moment if that wasn't a consideration I would use=20 microchip for sure. Just my 2c.
