Hey every one , I wanted to connect PIC to PC via Ethernet interface.

So I connected ENC28J60 to PIC and I'm sure the hardware is working=20
well. (when I connect it to LAN the LEDs start blinking.)

but when I write a value to a register (for example 0x1F-ECON1) and I=20
read that register back then I seem it doesn't change.

i have checked lots of things including checkeing RESET pin on ENC28j60=20
and  software reset .. but it doesn't work , i thought the registers are=20
no changing because the ENC is resetting over and over again , but it=20
was not related.  i have already checked the SO and SCK and CS signals=20
it's exactly the signal in ENC datasheet.

a point to remember is i haven't initialized the ENC yet. i don't if it=20
affects register writing.

Is there any one could help me with that?? is the circuit working well ?=20
Help please ... i have really no idea to continue working
