Well, it's kind of an in-house short-range paging system. Not much
'fun' if it works properly, but could be if it doesn't ;-)

Tell you what though. The first instinct I had when asked to put many
LEDs on a PIC was multiplexing. But the new ranges of PICs with a
good I/O count are so cheap it's hardly worth the logistical bother (in
this instance anyway)
