What kind of RTDs are you talking about? I thought most RTDs were made from platinum wire and were MORE expensive than thermocouples, and even more accurate and repeatable. One site I just looked at listed P100 RTDs at about twice the cost of K-type thermocouples. Are you talking about NTC thermistors?
