Probably some people already follow Hackaday, but the other day there was a= n article on mixing up silicone rubber with corn starch to use as a moldmakin= g compound. http://hackaday.com/2010/10/11/oogoo-a-home-made-sugru-substitute/ I've tried to use SR for this purpose before but as Russell pointed out the curing time is much too long for thick sections. This seems like a neat trick to avoid that problem.
