> Permenent damage usually results from over discharg of rechargeable cell. Is this the case for single-cell NiMH apps? My experience is that damage usually results from an exhausted cell being reverse-charged by neighbors. I've become a fan of single-cell SMPS as a result. I've ofter run sincle-cell AA NiMH flashlights down to dark - They (Sanyo L= SD) recharge normally, with no seeming loss of capacity. My sample size is small - But I've yet to discard a cell in such service.
