I've repeatedly observed Hyperterminal toggling the last bit of every=20 other character, in a stream of identical characters, when it was=20 supposed to be in 8N1 mode. I always thought that the stop bit was=20 supposed to be a definite bit, not something that alternates between=20 characters. Re-starting the app with *exactly* the same configs seems to=20 flush the problem. I expect this feature was included just to keep us on=20 our toes, bring the online community together to talk about it, etc.=20 Nice job!
