I use Tera Term A LOT. I think it's excellent. There's a version that does SSH, but, last I saw, it was out of date and does not work with current SSH servers. But, for RS232 and USB emulation of RS232 and for plain old TCP, it's great. If I want to see the hex codes going back and forth, I use RealTerm. It supports RS232 and TCP.
