I did, and that was just a page with more links.  If you want us to look at
a schematic, provide the link to that and don't make us hunt around for it.

Obviously it won't.  If you've got 5V accross 10K ohms, that's 500uA, which
is very likely considerably more than the SCR dropout current.  There is
probably a easy fix.  Provide the schematic.
