Well, it was a "radar jammer" or some such.  That sort-of implies the =20
sort of HW engineer that might not know much about SW.  While I claim =20
to know something about HW (being primarily a SW engineer), I might =20
draw the line before saying anything about "radio stuff"; that's a =20
class unto itself!
