This is exactly why I've stopped using Xilinx CPLDs and FPGAs: they're=20
impossible to get hold of! I've got a box full of Xilinx CPLDs in Ze=20
Lab, but I don't use them often. Similarly, I've got a box of Altera=20
EP2C8 FPGAs -- those I use a fair bit :)

Altera just scored a design win over Xilinx because I can get their=20
parts from Farnell and (if need be) DigiKey. It's a shame the part I'm=20
using (EP2C8T144) costs twice what it did last year, but c'est la vie.
