But the ICE-2000 is still the best debugging environment for PIC 16, and
there are lots of them out there.  I don't know if they are making new
processor modules, but I'm not happy that the dozen or two I have here will
be obsolete or I have to switch back and forth between MPLAB versions.

"Not much" is a understatement.  I can't see *any* upside to me and the
majority of PIC developers, who use Windows.
