I'm using the Hi Tech PIC18 compiler within MPLAB.

When debugging, I want all the local variables to be listed in the
Locals window, but only a small subset are usually listed. Perhaps due
to optimization, but I've disable all optimization in the Build Options.

Does anyone have a trick to force variables to be listed?
