My keyboard finally works. After several passes of immersion in soapy water and clean water, making sure to press all the keys to get the air bubbles out and the water into all the contacts, I dried it for a few days next to the space heater. It seems that all the keys are once again working. And the keyboard is cleaner than ever. No damage was done to it at all. $50 saved. Very little time wasted. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! @Olin: taking it apart would have been a very bad idea. I mentioned several times that it's a very sleek, single slab of aluminum. Trying to disassemble it surely would have destroyed it. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
