I saw that ad some time ago, someone posted it to me. Wrt "no on-board
peripherals": The featured MCU contains one USART up to 1MPBS, 2xDAC (12bit=

enough for audio) and 12bit ADC with input multiplxer over 16 pins ot so, a=

well as a bunch of PWM channels (up to 16 I think), a RTC and several clock
units including internal RC and external 32768Hz crystal, plus built in fea=

other relevant serial interface. Oh, and, this is the low end ARM (32 bit) =
CPU
of the line, higher members have much more powerful peripherals on board.

Given that ARM and MIPS hold respectively about 75% and 25% of the 32 bit
embedded market should there not be [ARM] and [MIPS] tags on the piclist? W=
hile
so far related posts have been rare, that should change rather fast. Evolut=
ion
works. Pic's PIC32 line is of course a MIPS core so it would technically fa=
ll
under both the [PIC] and the proposed [MIPS] tag. I believe that the techni=
cal
differences between PICs and MIPSes (including PIC32) would mandate a speci=
al
[MIPS] tag.
