I spent my childhood hanging around my father's automobile service=20 station - its was a really cool place to my young eyes. I recall=20 that my dad used WD40 about as much as he used spray-on penetrating=20 oil - that is to say: lots and lots of the stuff. He used to=20 purchase the gallon cans of the stuff as well as cases of the spray cans. He really likes it but always pointed out that WD40 is a very=20 short-lived fix to problems - the stuff just disappears after a few=20 weeks and you have to re-apply it. My experience when I grew older=20 bears out this observation. My take on the stuff - its great to help clean up something that has=20 gotten really gunked up. The initial lubrication that it supplies is=20 great. But I pretty much always follow it up with one of the spray=20 moly-based lubricants. That way, I get the best of both worlds. dwayne --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
