You might give a brief synopsis so people don't have to chase down links.

However, WD-40 was actually recommended to me by a bike professional as I
watched him spray it on his own bike.  He said it was particularly good at
getting inside, which makes some sense.  I always wondered about how well i=
t
stood up to the forces being a very light oil, but probably just about
anything will do unless you ride your bike for 8 hours a day for 20 years.
