I am working on a consumer product that will be used by people=20 generally a bit more technically oriented than your average person. It dissipates a fair amount of power at times and so it can generate a=20 fair amount of heat. It will be used in a residential, indoors environment......on a table or=20 a bench. My question is this: What is a reasonable/acceptable upper limit for=20 maximum exterior surface temperature given these circumstances? Is there an accepted specification(s) for something like this? I am thinking maybe 60 deg C........? --=20 Mark Skeels Engineer Competition Electronics, Inc.
