But yes, the product has to be generally work properly first. For example I just bought a MacBook Pro two weeks ago and the quality is really high and it "just works" out of the box. These two makes it as a ver= y good product, and this together with some adverts creates the excellent marketing strategy: You either have a Mac or a computer. Same thing with iPod vs. mp3 player, iPad vs. tablet pc, iPhone vs. smart phone. All I am saying is that they have a brand which worth a lot, and if they could also gain the good product plus the adverts then in my opinion it has the potential to be very successful. But I agree, the name itself is nothing.
