Personally I'd suggest dropping > a 40 pin 18F452, 18F45220, 18F4620 or similar in there and using C18. I won't have the time to work with the hardware this weekend, so I left it at work, but I will only say with 95% certainty that it's a picdem2 plus. I'm going to go out on a limb and presume that my older package didn't come with the same chips that the current one comes with, but that works for me as it only reinforces that drop-in replacements of newer model chips works with the same older hardware that I have. I will have random little spurts of free time here and there, so I will fill the time by reading a random 16F datasheet that I printed out from cover to cover. Studying never hurts. Skimming over the 18F datasheets kind of looked like a lot of the same sections, but a lot more pages, so there's definitely more studying in my future. --=20 Regards...=A0 =A0 =A0 Todd I seek the truth...it is only persistence in self-delusion and ignorance that does harm.=A0 -- Marcus Aurealius --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
