Keep in mind that your ICD2 is certainly still useful - it supports=20 all of the chips that you are likely to use. Not sure about your dev=20 board - the new chip you pick (pun sort of intended) may or may not=20 be compatible with the pinout on that board. Or: you could choose a=20 new PIC that **IS** compatible with that pinout. Bill is saying (I think) that the PIC that kit came with may not be=20 your best choice. I'm pretty sure that he wasn't saying that about the ICD= 2. FWIW - we use our ICD2 units constantly. They work well - most of=20 the time. The newer ICD3 does seem more stable than the ICD2 but the=20 old units are still useable. dwayne --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
