The latest Kindle upgrade (2.5.2?) has improved PDF viewing considerably. I agree with whoever expressed misgivings about wireless connectivity - I won't buy anything with wireless capability, for that reason. (My K was a gift). It gets taken along on trips away from home; otherwise is little used. The battery runs down in about ten days, whether used or not. Would not surprise me to learn it calls home regularly, though wireless is kept turned off. I see they've got a new, much cheaper "Graphite" 6" Kindle. It's a linux box - Lots of potential...
