An update on this thread. Never did get the 4 bit parallel LCD to work,=20
then this morning, mistakenly, powered up the LCD on 12 VDC instead of 5=20
VDC :(. Ordered two,  4 x 20 Serial LCD's from Digikey. I have some=20
18F1320 proven boards, that I might be able to use, at least for=20
prototyping. The PICKIT2 works without the LCD attached, and am=20
thinking, once I remove the LCD wiring, should no longer be an issue.=20
