And still "OT", but one reply to this will end the thread: So if I understand the rules: 1: A new topic should be started as a new message, and not taking an old=20 message (either that was a new thread or a "RE"), change the subject and=20 body of the message. 2: I thought the PICLIST needed "Re:" as the first 3 characters of the=20 subject line. Is this true, or just start with "[PIC]", etc. 3: If "Re:" is not the first of the subject line when starting a reply,=20 the mail software will add the "Re:", no action required. At least=20 that's what Thunderbird appears to do. 4: And if it a reply, try hard to make it a reply, and not start new and=20 make it look like it is a reply. Thanks again. for clarifying. :) On 8/6/2010 3:40 PM, Dumitru Stama wrote: > On Fri, Aug 6, 2010 at 10:01 PM, Carl Denk wrote: > =20 >> I'll try to watch that, it is the original message, I just took a recent >> message wich happened to be a reply, changed the subject, but forgot to >> remove the "Re". :) >> =20 > offtopic : > ---------------------- > Well yes, but this is not a good practice because the fields : > "in-reply-to" and "references" will keep the old thread's original > data and a lot of email processors will break.
