Just an update, I spent ages chasing around the city looking for someone with a programmer= =20 and eventually found someone. Raced around to his place and programmed one to start with ... plugged it= =20 into the target, and it worked. Phew!!! Burnt the remaining nine, checking as we went, and all worked but one ...= =20 and that one had come loose in it's holder. So, it has obviously been a problem with my programmer all this time. Now I= =20 just need to work out what's wrong with it. At least it has nothing to do=20 with the eproms, the erasure process, or the target boards. The guy with the programmer was a computer tech some years ago, and has a=20 dedicated system with an old 486 with no hard drive, just a floppy. Reckone= d=20 he'd only burnt about 20 devices in all the time he's had it. Now it's=20 probably worn out ... it's done 30. Thanks for all the suggestions and help along the way.
