In a much easier to understand situation: A friend asked me to "fix" his computer, as the mouse has become quite temperamental. It seemed to work fine at night, but was all but unusable during his daytime usage. I got there in the daytime, and found the computer desk right in front of a window. I just closed the shades, and the mouse worked well again. This was a mechanical mouse with optical encoders for each axis, and a really cheap plastic case. I wish all my troubleshooting went that easy. :) Lyle --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
