Quite some time ago, there was some discussion on this list about the
ability to use the auxiliary functions provided by the PICkit2 Windows
software (logic probe, UART, and logic analyzer) under Linux. At the
time I mentioned that I had written some code to expose most of these
functions but hadn't published it anywhere. It is now published here:

I intend to keep maintaining this and adding features as appropriate.
The only feature I'm unlikely to reject outright is the ability to
actually program chips, since that's already provided by PK2CMD.
