I have several clamp-on current probes that I'm trying to figure out. They =
have a screw-on connector that looks a bit like an XLR connector. There are=
 4 pins arranged in an arc across maybe 1/3 of the circumference of the con=
nector.

I'm familiar with the 2-pin probes or plain current sense transformers, but=
 I'm not sure what to make of this one.

These probes are SPX brand, but I have been unable to track down any furthe=
r information about them. Presumably they go into some kind of automotive d=
iagnostic tool.

Any pointers from the hive mind?
