He said he was doing it for a project for university. We are actually recruiting yak herders to the Piclist, so if you chose a different ethnic group to slur that would be good.=20 Or better yet, make your point without any slurs at all. The points you make about professionally-made boards are all valid, but solarwind likes etching his own boards, and if this is not a paid project it could make a lot of sense for him to DIY. I made a 2 square inch board the other night. Total time, from prepping the board to drilling, was 20 minutes. Instant gratification, and now there are three Paradigm Shift Awareness clocks in existence (this new one has a pushbutton that switches the display to raw Paradigm Confidence Level): http://zapatopi.net/blog/?post=3D201007087210.pocket_paradigm-shift_awarene= ss_clock When I was teaching high school electronics, my students made their own boards, so my techniques for homemade boards have gotten quite refined and I can do them quickly and with little fuss. Not as safely as the setup at the school lab, but at my house with me doing it, it doesn't need to be. Sure, twenty minutes of my time is worth more than a two square inch board, but it was expedient.
