That's also wrong. I can etch a PCB for $10 in under 10 minutes. Can you order and have delivered a PCB from wherever in under 10 minutes? Under $10? > Also keep in mind that your employer's cost to keep you around is more th= an > you get paid. =A0For example, how many yak dung paddies does it take to k= eep > your office heated, what do they have to pay the yak hearder for the > paddies, etc? Right, because one person out of a building of 1000+ is going to tax the air conditioning system a whole lot... > Then consider the extra labor cost putting in jumpers because you don't h= ave > plated thru holes, fixing the human errors that a good silkscreen would h= ave > prevented, the solder bridges the solder mask would have prevented, etc. Never made those kinds of mistakes, and I've made several boards now. > There is also the initial cost in materials and time to set everything up= , > the chemical disposal issues, space to store and maintain the equipment, > etc. =A0It doesn't add up. I work in a biological research lab. Disposal of chemicals is no problem. We have a whole lab to ourselves, space is not an issue either. Believe me, it adds up. Have you anything constructive to say? If so, I am listening. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
