Have you tried any of the spectacles manufacturers or Contactlens manufacturers, I work for an optical retailer in the UK, and I see a lot of 3" diameter uncut lenses, perhaps someone could cut you a special near you? Also, we trash a LOT of badly cut/erroneous lenses, and I'm sure we're not alone, so talk to the spectacle makers, they may let you grab a bag or go dumpster shopping? -Jim -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of Michael Wirth Sent: 24 July 2010 01:09 To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. Subject: Re: [EE] Source for cheap plastic lenses? One standard source for lenses for the DIYer is Edmund Scientific. Don't know about plastic. Most of theirs are probably glass. (Ck. for their pro optical catalog, as well as their hobbyist/toy website.)
