Since I have to run at 3V anyway, maybe its time to look for a=20 > new low-cost micro that also runs at 3V. Yeah - I know that PIC16F=20 > runs at 3V but some of the newer PICs don't run at 5V and that's why=20 > I haven't used them yet. So: since I have to run at 3V, which new=20 > PICs should I be considering?" > > Based on the other answers I saw others post, I suspect they read=20 > much the original question much the same as I did. > =20 Hi Dwayne, Yes, you (and almost everyone else) read it the way I intended. :-) I've now looked at the 18F & 24F series, and for now the 18F seems the=20 way to go. Some of the extra instructions do seem useful. If I was into C programming, migrating may be easier. At present I just=20 don't "get" C, so I write in assembly. I do quite like knowing what=20 every register and bit does. Unlike some list members, for me PIC programming is only a small portion=20 of my business activities. I just don't have enough hours in the day to=20 make quantum leaps in technology. Thanks everyone for their input.
