Add long lag turbos - especially when driving on gravel roads. A whole new sport in itself. My (presently 'sleeping') 1989 Mk1 MR2 'Supercharger' is an utter joy on gravel (or anywhere else) with zero lag so you can squirt it through corners like an unboosted engined car. If you insist on overdoing it it will transit happily between gripping and sliding and back in an utterly controlled manner, gravel or seal, even under supercharger boost. Whereas, our Mitsubishi Chariot turbo (deceased engine :-) ) had a 1 to 2 seconds turbo lag. Close to undriveable in a spirited way on winding gravel roads.
