It integrates seamlessly with a lot of compilers, including MinGW and some cross-compilers for embedded systems (SDCC, ARM, AVR, etc.). Very good indeed, lots of functionalities and plug-ins). There is another nice free IDE, CodeLite. I didn't use it much but it seems well done, and is updated much more frequently than Code:Blocks.
