How would I calculate the saturation current of a inductor? I know the formula probably needs to account for wire diameter, turns, turn spacing and core permeability. Also, is there a formula for inductance vs current so I could chart the inductance knee? The reason I'm asking is because I'm working with a shorted RLC model, but the model I'm using doesn't take into account the inductor saturating. Unfortunately, google and wikipedia haven't done me any good with this problem, and I don't have any relevant text books (or know which ones to look in). -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
