Food for thought ........ I had a nasty experience in the kitchen last night. One of the 50W halogen bulbs exploded, with a vengeance, as soon as I flicked the switch, so the bulb was cold. The front glass shot down to the floor and shattered and we're still finding shards and splinters of the bulb and its ceramic base. Apart from that surprise, the lighting circuit breaker tripped, perhaps some of the bulb went backwards. It was a helluva bang and in the dark I could see big blue sparks flying everywhere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_light_bulb It's the 3rd halogen to go recently, and they aren't cheap (even surmising where they were made), so I'm thinking of replacing them with fluorescent strips -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
