That $300 may get me something usable, but likely (I have looked but haven't found yet) it comes with not a Windows install disc, but a restore/repair disc. I have setting here a Compaq (inherited it from granddaughter) that fell into that hole, can't upgrade it to XP SP3, it runs ok, but, it won't be long and there won't be a good firewall or anti-virus for it. And yes my regular machines dual boot Ubuntu, but just haven't had the time to really become familiar with the setup and wine. :) I was thinking pick up a laptop, figuring the batteries were about gone, and to make it stable, I was going to have to get an OS for it. If Vitaliy's software runs under wine, I figured that was more setup than I wanted at this time, unless someone has done it and has some good instructions. So it looks like $300 either way. Though the nettop looks interesting, still thinking.
