Buy Vitaliy's new UART interface and a 2nd hand laptop  and roll your
own specific solution? :-). I don't know about the US market but,
given the price of new netbooks etc old but entirely suitable laptops
should be available for about free.

He'll of course be able to advise if his interface meets your need, but I'd
imagine it would be as flexible as it was possible to make such a
device.
