I am using PicStart 2 to prog and debug a PIC-MAXI board which I have made a lot of progress with. At the moment I have it configured to program the device with DEBUG set. I understand that this requires the PicStart 2 to be connected to keep the board ticking. However, I disconnected the PicStart 2 from the board recently and it continued to run. This would be a useful feature or mode of operation but I am unable to repeat it. It is useful to me in that if I ever want it to run stand alone, it requires another program and these are at a premium as the datasheet indicates that it is only good for 100 program cycles. Anyone have any ideas how I can continue to keep the board running and remove the Picstart 2 after the board has began running.
