No. It's not entirely nostal;gic. That may or may not be a factor, but:

Anything that you can buy this year for $N and sell with certainty for
k x $N, y years later where

            k > OR >>  (1+AIR/100)^y        for many but perhaps not
all values of y.

Where AIR = average compound inflation rate in %, is well worthwhile
as an investment.

This qualifies :-).
