Standard price, $30. Got it out of a store near university. They have lots of parts for a reasonable price. Looks like they get everything from Sparkfun. I don't have wires because I'm not at home anymore. I should bring over my development setup here though. And the potentiometer physically fits into the female socket perfectly. I was asking if it was safe to do so.
