A while back I mentioned that I had read a really good book on the principles of flight. It's not a aeronautical engineering textbook, but provides a great conceptual introduction to how flight thru air works based on the underlying physics. Equations are used to back up the intuitive understanding, not the other way around. Someone here asked me for the name of the book. At the time it wasn't in front of me and I couldn't answer. When I remembered to look for it at home, I found my son had apparently taken it to school with him. I was going to dig into it more, but then the person asking decided to get rude and ask me again via private email. I'll answer questions for free if/when I feel like it with no obligation to explain my reasons to anyone. Nobody has any right to nag me for a answer. As a result, I put no more effort into finding the book's information. I just got spam from Amazon (must have forgotten to disable that email address after receiving the goods), which is where I apparently bought the book. They claim the title was "Understanding Flight, Second Edition". Perhaps this will help those interested in a intuitive understanding of flight track down this excellent book. If someone posts a link to a picture of the cover I can confirm it is the right book or not. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
