This seems like one of the best options. You already have homeowners'
insurance (probably.) If you can prove someone robbed you, and get a picture
of whatever car they were in, the police would probably actually be able to
do something about it. Options causing ANY possible injury, while fun to
think about, will open you up to lawsuits from the burglars you injured,
save for a few southwestern US states where they might give you a medal of
honor. Really loud noises would probably not be included here as causing
injury.
