I agree (with both people :-) ).

Jason needs to learn to use more detail in describing what he is
trying to achieve. Especially so when at the edge of his knowledge
envelope. This is a  good place to be BUT needs extra details in order
to get best assistance.

Jason:

Are you trying to use asynchronous or synchronous mode?
Do you / did you know the difference?
Where die you get the idea for your code?
What pins (pin functions) do you expect to use to communicate with?
Why?
