That's an extremely common position of yours. Really. You seem to enter a thread at some intermediate point and expect everything to be self explanatory for you from that point on, without you needing to look back to make sense of the overall situation. Really (again). I mention this here as this is an extremely good example for you to examine to see if what I say is true (in this case for a start) and whether you could or should modify your approach. The OP has posted once on this thread , in the first message that started the thread. He did post again latterly, but only to say that he had solved the problem. In his first post he showed very clear signs of trying hard to follow the advice given by list members. He stated that there was code attached, and attached a xxx.C file. He stated that the whole circuit consisted of a PIC with connections to ground and power supply, so that he had not provided a circuit diagram. Viz > Code: Attached > Schematic: None , all pins floating (Other Than Power ....) He did NOT do a good job of describing his problem, and that is fair ground for comment BUT your complaints are in large part unfounded and serve only to brow beat and not inform. By all means point out what can be improved, but you need to read his ONE post, see that he said there was an attachment and decide whether to read it. You are wholly free to not read attachments, but cannot then validly proclaim on their content. (Almost :-) ) nobody doubts that you frequently make excellent points, but your criticisms would be more valuable if better targeted and contained Russell -- = http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
