IR uses 34 to 42KHz OOK
the IR receiver has optical filter to block visible light
The IR receiver has built in filter after photo detector.
The actual on blocks of 38KHz are about 0.8ms Zero is no IR at all.
Data is usually encoded using Manchester, so "real" 1 or 0 is slower
