At the embedded systems conference a few weeks ago, the digikey guys swore up and down that yes this is an oft-requested feature, they have it working in-house and their sales people use it, and they will make it publicly available on the website ... soon. While I'm not clear what is so tricky about it, they seemed pretty sure that it really is going to be put "live" and pretty soon.
