SP3 doesn't work on all PCs. Mine at home gets caught in an infinite reboot loop if I put SP3 on it. Known issue with the particular motherboard. It was a painful process to get it to stop doing that- it would not even go to safe mode. I ended up having to boot to an install CD and use the repair console. Mike H.
